Training Practice
Roman Road Health Centre is a teaching practice associated to Liverpool, Manchester & Preston Universities. We have post graduates, GP Registrars and students working in the practice in order to gain experience.
In order to work in General Practice specialised vocational training is necessary. They are always closely supervised and will be clearly identified to you. We also provide experience for nurses in training.
You have a right to decline to be treated by them or in their presence but your co-operation in enhancing their medical training and experience is greatly appreciated.
The practice is committed to improving medical education at all levels and all the practice Doctors are involved in this process.
GP Registrars/ FY Doctors and Medical Students
Roman Road Health Centre believes that medical education is vital in training our health care professionals and safeguarding the future of the NHS.
In order to provide this, GP Registrars, Foundation Doctors or Medical Students may be sitting in with your health care professional during your consultation.
Please be assured that our doctors in training are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the rest of the practice.
The experience that is acquired is necessary when seeing their own patient’s in the future. The patient might be yourself or a loved one.
If you would prefer to see a health care professional alone, please inform the receptionist when you are booking in for your appointment.
